What up!
If you’ve made any sort of money online, you’ll know just how difficult it can be to make your first $1 and sign your first client.
Hours and hours of learning and practicing your skills.
Thousands of cold DM’s (which most won’t even open).
Posting valuable content only for nobody to see it.
Let’s just say it can be roughhhh.
But here’s the thing. Once you find out what works and once you “crack the code,” you’re off to the races 🏎
Because if you can sign one client, you can sign ten. And if you can make $1 online, you can make $1,000, $10,000… dare I even say $1,000,000.
Now, I’m not going to sit here and pretend like I have everything figured out. I’m still just scratching the surface of what I know I can accomplish and I haven’t made much online compared to a lot of other people.
But after helping my clients generate over $435,000 in revenue last year, I can tell you this:
Scaling your business from $0 - $10K is completely different than scaling from $10K and beyond.
I know because I’ve seen it firsthand with my own clients.
It’s all a battle of more vs. less.
So if you’ve already taken your business to $10K/month and are looking to scale even further (the sky’s the limit!), here are 3 things you should know:
1 • Less attention. More authority.
When you’re just starting out, you want to get the most attention and the most eyeballs on your offer as possible.
Because the more attention you get, the more people will see your offer, and the quicker you’ll get your first few clients.
But when it comes to scaling your business, you’ll want to focus on building more authority. You’ve already gotten clients results. Now it’s time to focus on leveraging those results even more and becoming the go-to guy (or gal) in your industry.
Gain attention → Build authority
2 • Less audience. More relationships.
When you’re just starting out, you’ll want to build up your audience as quickly as possible. You won’t be as selective about who is in your audience. The more eyes and followers, the better.
But when it’s time to scale, you’ll want to focus more on building relationships rather than building an audience.
An audience can only get you so far. It’s surface level (to an extent). But forming real and genuine relationships? That’s how you build a real business and take your brand to the next level.
Gain followers → Build relationships
3 • Less experimenting. More doubling down.
When you’re building from zero, you have a lotttt of experimenting to do to figure out what works.
What types of content works best? What offers are sticking? What type of feedback are you getting from your audience?
But after building some initial momentum and signing a few clients, you’ll quickly start to understand what types of things worked. And all you gotta do to scale is double down on what worked and eliminate what didn’t.
Test a lot of different things → Double down on the winners
Remember, I’m not an expert by any means. And I'm not some millionaire guru telling you to follow my system over someone else's.
These are just three things I noticed when working with my own clients who were trying to scale their own businesses.
Now it’s your turn :)
Here’s the thing though… there’s a lot of moving parts when it comes to scaling a business. And it can be incredibly time-consuming.
So if you’re a coach, creator, or agency owner that’s looking to scale your business and add an extra $10K/month in the next 90 days… all without you lifting a finger?
